You may register on the out of work register in person anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

All calls for manpower must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. so they can be put on the job line recorder that night.

All calls will be listed on the job line from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. unless a contractor calls for manpower after hours.

To be eligible for a job assignment call the job line between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Leave your name and phone number where you can be reached after 8:30 a.m.

At 8:30 a.m. the Union will start calling those who left their name for job assignments and will continue until all job assignments are filled.

You must be available to accept a job assignment starting at 8:30 a.m.

Job assignments will be offered to those who are lowest on the out of work register, and will continue in chronological order until all job assignments are filled.

The Business Manager is responsible to fill the job assignments needed by the employer in a timely manner. This means emergency call and/or unfilled job assignment referrals may have to be made outside normal hours using whatever means are necessary.

Applicants for employment must re-register twice a year (January 10 - 16 and July 10 - 16) by mail, fax, email, website, or in person or will be removed from the out of work register.

If you choose to use the mail, fax or e-mail procedure, your re-registration cannot be postmarked or dated before the 10th of the month.

Local Unions are to immediately initiate a policy requiring individuals who receive 2 discharges for cause within a 12 month period to be suspended from future referral privileges until they appear before the Appeals Committee for a determination as to their continued eligibility for referral. Any individual who receives 2 discharges in a 12 month period or who wishes to contact the Appeals Committee must do so in writing by mail or personal delivery to the Union Hall.

There will no longer be a short call register.

All job assignments will be referred off the full time out of work register.

An applicant who is hired and who receives through no fault of his own, work of 40 hours or less shall, upon re-registration be restored to his appropriate place within his group.

When leaving your name and phone number on the job line for a call, only those phone numbers left on the job line will be called the next day for referrals. If the referral agent has to leave a message, a time limit of 15 minutes will be allotted before going to the next on the call-in list. If you do NOT return the call within those 15 minutes your place will be forfeited to the next on the call-in list.

Once an applicant qualifies for, requests and is granted Group I status in any local union, he shall retain that status in the local union and shall not be required to requalify unless he qualifies for, requests and is granted Group I status in another local union. If that situation occurs, the applicant would have to requalify for Group I status in any previous local union(s) in which he enjoyed Group I status.
